During
the process of constructing this product I’ve learnt how to use a camera, do
research on different films that can relate to mine and make connections
between them, how to use ‘Blogger’ and also how to edit. When I started Media
Studies I had never done any filming and the only editing I’d done was on
‘Picnik’ editing photos. But since starting Media Studies I’ve filmed with a
camera. I’ve edited using ‘Adobe Premier Pro’ and ‘Pinnacle’, I now know how to
cut footage, delete footage, order the footage of a two minute opening
sequence, add music and add transitions. This was all quite complicated to
learn as it was confusing at first but once I was familiar with the soft wear
and knew what everything did it all became a lot easier. I’ve also uploaded a
video to ‘You Tube’ for the first time, which was only difficult because I had
to change the file type of what I wanted to upload, which took some time.
‘Blogger’ is the website where I created my blogs and recorded the things I did in class, this was something that wasn’t very complicated and didn’t take long to get used to and to understand.
The research was another thing that was fairly simple because it didn’t require using a new programme as all the research done was done through ‘Google’. The hardest thing about the research was finding films that had something in common with my film and figuring out how the things done in the films I found and the techniques and effects could be adapted and changed so that we could use them in my film. This was hard because there are so many action/thriller based films and it was difficult to find the ones that were right for the film I were making.

Below are pictures of my self using all the equipment that was needed when constructing our media product. There is also an equipment list of everything that was used.
