Main Task

For our main task we were going to do the opening for an action film but decide it would be too difficult and unfeasible so we therefore changed our idea to a thriller.
The budget will be very low and our filming will be taking place at Queens Park and the dark room at our school.
Our film is going to be about a girl whose sister is kidnapped and when the kidnapper contacts her she is given thirteen hours to complete thirteen tasks so that she can win back her sister.
The thirteen tasks will include arriving to destinations on time, collecting illegal substances and weapons, to killing enemies of the kidnapper. At the end of the film the thirteenth challenge will be to find her sister in one of the countless body bags that fill a warehouse before a bomb goes off in three minutes from entering the warehouse. The code that will disarm the bomb is with her sister who is unconscious in one body bags. The heroine finds her sister and disarms the bomb, however the kidnapper is not found.
Our two minutes opening sequence will include the phone conversation between the kidnapper and heroine, we will add a shot of the girl who has been kidnapped and we will include the 'first task'. This will be of the girl having find a stranger in the park who has a note from the kidnapper which will have the second task. When the girl looks up at the stranger he is gone. The title sequence will then be shown at the end of our filming.
The music we use will be low in pitch and change pace, it will also be very dramatic. This will help us to create atmosphere.
The lighting will be a mix o natural lighting and dim lighting.
When we put together our footage in the editing process we will be using quick snappy scenes cut together that cut from the two characters having a phone converstaion. We will add the title sequence while we edit. The camera shots we will be using will be close ups, extreme close ups, match on action and shot reverse shot.
Lauanne will play the girl who gets kidnapped. John will be the kidnapper. I, Zoe, will be the heroine. James will be the stranger who gives my character the note.
The title of our film will be 'The 13th Hour'.
Other films that are related to our task are 'Gone in 60 Seconds' and 'Taken'.
